A Secular Sanctuary for Modern Life
Creating spaces for contemplation, connection, and renewal in a complex worldThe Enduring Need for Sacred Space
Though we have become a more secular society, the need for the spiritual has not left us. The modern secular chapel represents our collective yearning for meaning, beauty, and transcendence beyond traditional religious contexts.
Where churches once served as spaces for quiet meditation, introspection, connection, and prayer, contemporary secular spaces have emerged to fulfill these deeply human needs. Museums and dedicated secular chapels now offer what many seek: a contemplative environment free from dogma yet rich with possibility.
Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, visionary artists and architects have created secular chapels that speak to the human condition in profound ways, demonstrating that the sacred and the secular need not be separate realms.

To build the first Common Chapel would be an astounding accomplishment: honoring human endeavors, the human spirit, and human creativity all in one place is our north star. Creating one space would be great, but to have several spaces around the world, would be the ultimate vision come to life.
We envision creating a series of secular chapels—physical spaces designed specifically for contemplation, connection, and renewal. These Common Chapels will be accessible sanctuaries where anyone can engage with the deepest aspects of being human.
Unlike traditional religious buildings or typical museums, our chapels will be intentionally designed to foster both individual reflection and community gathering—places where the experience of being present, alone or together, is honored and facilitated.
Introspection
Spaces specifically designed to foster self-understanding and inner quietude, allowing visitors to step away from the noise of modern life.Connection
Environments that facilitate meaningful encounters—with oneself, with others, and with ideas that transcend our ordinary perspectives.Renewal
A sanctuary for the cultivation of hope, creativity, and new possibilities, reminding us of our capacity for growth and transformation.Support This Vision
The creation of these secular sanctuaries requires the support of those who believe in their importance. Your contribution will help transform this vision into a physical reality.
Every gift brings us closer to creating the first Common Chapel—a physical embodiment of our community's values and aspirations. Your support represents an investment in creating spaces where future generations can find stillness, connection, and renewal.
